Its arrived!! Gino \/2 Stunt...

About two and a half years ago, whilst conversing with Gino via email, I was given a glimps of the V2 helmets during their build. All I could think was, I need one!! But which one?? Stunt or hero, hero or stunt? Who can make decision like that? I couldn't, so I gave in and ordered both.

Then around Christmas 06, my first helmet was sent. It was the V2 Hero. It was agony waiting for a helmet I wanted for so long. 2 weeks felt like 5.. Then it arrived. I opened her up, carefully unpacked the helmet, then set about delicately removing the bubble wrap. Then there she was, sitting on my table in all its glory. WOW! I thought - Its freaking spot on!.. then as I looked closer, my heart broke. I noticed the inside was completely covered in resin (protection from recasters) and not "Accurate" as it should be.. I actually was quite put back by it. Did Gino think I was a recaster???

As it happens everyone got the same resin treatment which alleviated some of my concern. But still, in all honesty, I was dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, the helmet itself is GREAT! The finishing is beautiful! And it looks bloody unreal! The best Hero out there atm! Yet its not perfect. As none will be. And this (to me) makes it even more so... However over the past year its become quite special to me. I've come to love it. Now I'll NEVER sell it on. :)

Skipping toward the present--Today was a special day for me. I was able to finally pick up my second helmet. The V2 Stunt. Initially, I wasn't freaking out. I didn't want to get hyped up, just to be dissapointed again. Anyway, like above I took my time opening the box, then unwrapping the bubble wrap. I saw the brow trim had somewhat come off, and actually looked like it took half the cap with it! I refused to panic, and continued on until it was completely unwrapped, and I was able to inspect the damage... hang on what damage?? Thank goodness I was just seeing some distortion through the bubble wrap. I re-attached the brow, and DAYUM!!! This thing is bloody incredible!! :eek

The V2 stunt is simply amazing, the finishing is very authentic, and accurate. The build is flawless, and to top it off, its assembed just like my fav on screen trooper. The resin is still there, yet still I just cannot convey how impressed I am with this helmet. It basicly IDENTICAL to an original! Like, like DAYUM!! :eek

Anyway I'm sure your sick of my dribble, so ON TO THE PICS!!

First up the comparison. Stunt on left, hero on right. The pics are a little disceptive, as it makes the hero look quite a bit smaller than the stunt. This is not the case. The only difference is the assembly. Its a bit of an illusion.

Congratulations on a fantastic helmet, if only I'd had the cash, great pictures as well thanks for sharing them with us :thumbsup

Thanks for the kind words Chris. :$
It's not that often that I get to share my work with others.
Also, I would pull the brow trim down a bit so there isn't so much of a gap between it and the eyes.

you see me green in envy! :eek:love:eek

you gotta love those Gino helmets. i own two V1 stunts and wouldn´t part with them unless for a V2 update! one fine day...

great acquisition, congratulations bro!

Hey Chris, beautiful helmet. I was going to say the same thing as Gino - your brow trim should come down a bit.

I just received a Gino v.2 BG too, and I'm as blown away as you are! Nothing else I've ever seen comes close. It's all in the details, and just looks totally right in every way, even down to the reflective quality of the paint. Spot on to the screen helmets - not too glossy, not too matte, and the paint runs give it such a warm 'organic' character. I couldn't be happier anyway.

I'm so envious of your hero too! I really wanted both, but just couldn't afford it... :(

I had also this month a GINO V2 smooth cap Stunt trooper helmet.

This is one of my masterpiece in my collection, I just love it, every detail is awesome, all carrefuly hand painted.

This helmet is so well made, you can't believe it when you have it in your hands.

Thanks again GINO for everything :)

This is cool, I'm glad people are posting pics of theirs too! Keep em' coming!! :)

I'm going to keep the brow trim high. To me is resembles the trooper to Vaders left, when boarding the millennium falcon. And blasts through the docking bay control room. However, he only had three teeth cut out... can't have everything!

Thanks

All the V2's look great.Definitely the most accurate helmets out there IMO.I want one so bad but I don't think I could live with the resin brushed inside. To be so close to perfection excapt for the resin,***king recasters.

Yes, that was/is my reaction to the matter. Who knows... one day we may get lucky eh??

I echo that, too bad as I would really like one but the resin issue just puts me off big time :(

But, as many he said great looking helmets Gino, they are a work of art from the outside...
