is there any way to thin out the edges of a latex prosthetic?

Looks like it turned out pretty good!

Liquid latex is notorious for pulling out hair. Best bet with that is to first cover any facial hair with vasoline or "nose and scar wax." to protect it from the liquid latex.

In the event you get any in hair, Super Solv (mentioned in my last reply) will dissolve the liquid latex, allowing you to ball it up and pluck/scrape it out of hair.

That's a shame though, it was quite a 'stache.

oh man, trust me, i had enough nose and scar wax smashed in my mustache to sculpt a bust out of, but it just didnt work for some reason, i tried everything to get it out as well, even incuding laquer thinner, which burns like hell on your face by the way!

i miss my mustache :( it was epic! and all* the ladies loved it!

Doh, that sucks! I'm sure it will come back better... stronger...

Yeah, lacquer thinner would not do the trick on latex. You need something that breaks down the bond. Most oil based products would work (baby oil, mineral oil, etc.)

Better luck next time!

a friend of mine did a freddy we used a razor you shave with and just shaved the backside down if you do it slow it will work!
