BlindSquirrel Sr Member RPF PREMIUM MEMBER Dec 10, 2009 #1 I need to paint a 1" black dot on a 6" acrylic dome...think big muppet eyeball. Normally I would just mask it off with frisket or tape and airbrush it but I wanted to make sure there wasn't an easier trick that I wasn't aware of?

Hecubus114 Sr Member RPF PREMIUM MEMBER Dec 10, 2009 #2 get something stiff like cardboard, cut a circle in it, then set it on the dome - like a stencil...?
ItsThatGuy Sr Member Dec 10, 2009 #3 Find the center. Use a compass or make a compass with something stuck to the center and a string cut to the size of the radius with a pencil attached. EDIT: Oh you are looking to spray it...See if someone can do a vinyl decal stencil.

Click to expand... maybe a little spray photo mount to keep it from slipping or lifting....that's a real possibility. Thanks!

P propologist Sr Member Dec 10, 2009 #7 I would just get a plastic circle template and mask off the ones you don't need .
Charles Kline Sr Member Dec 10, 2009 #8 or put some paint in a dish and dip the top of the dome in it to the point you want (draw a circle then look thru the back- since its clear)
