anonymously rats on a person to the license holder over an ebay auction?

Is this common practice in this hobby?

Seems to me that this kind of continued stupidity could only serve to bring down this hobby in the long run should retaliatory action be taken by the seller in the form of denying everyone else the ability to sell unlicensed replicas causing them real world consequences.

Something to think about.

Maybe Jealous would be a kind name to call them..

I have often wondered this same topic. I think the person doing it is thinking they are making points with the licensee and the reality is they are no better looked on than a stool pigeon for the law enforcement agencies..

People like that ruin it for everyone else :angry . Licensed stuff is almost always crap & overpriced. The only people they are doing any favors for are the companies that sell the licenses and the Chinese economy as almost everything licensed is produced over there.

I agree 101% on that.
I just saw the pictures for the Rebel Blaster Hasbro is putting out, the prototype looks great, but I bet when it hits the stores it will look like garbage and thats just one example.
Personally I would rather by a non licensed item because I know that someone actually put their heart and soul into making it the best they could..
Dont get me wrong, Im not saying everyone should break the law, but dang there are some wonderful non licensed stuff out there, that the licensed people thumb their noses at. B)

What is the evidence that the auction was actually ratted out? Licensees do sometimes monitor these things themselves.
