Is Spiderman in the same universe as Avengers?

Jackman was actually supposed to cameo in the first Spider-Man movie but didn't happen. That would've been awesome to see.

Would love to see a scenario where the Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man all showed up in the same movie, but I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon(if ever).

Thats where the actors come in, produce a fan-made film themselves and put it on youtube like Thomas Jane did with Punisher :thumbsup

Oh sure he can be replaced in the future. How cheesy he was in the role. Not saying its his fault cause writing wasn't too great. But if you threw in a darker meaner Logan into a movie as he was in the comics. I think the true fans wouldn't be too mean and would rejoice a bit.

Yeah, but remember movies aren't made for the true fan. They are made for the masses. Unfortunate but true.

In reality no they are not in the same universe, but as a geek I'd like to think cap knows of Spidey and vise versa. But I doubt it'll be a while until we see them on screen together.

I imagine Sony will keep rebooting to keep hold of the rights.

Considering Disney bought Star Wars I just wonder if they can outright buy the left over Marvel characters and aren't doing it because they're busy with what they have and want to establish a strong Marvel universe with what looks like the Infinity Gauntlet storyline THEN work on bringing Fantastic Four,X-Men,Spider Man and the rest into it?

Just hanging a wild thought out there.

Sony and Fox aren't willing to sell the rights they have. That's why they've got so many Spidey and X-Men movies slated for the next few years.

I have no doubt that Disney could buy those characters, but the other companies aren't interested (unless all of their movies bomb tremendously and get terrible reviews, and probably not even then).
