Is Mylar good for printed LCARS?

I might have the opportunity to get my LCARS printed out on Mylar. I googled it and read the specs and all that, but does anyone know if Mylar is a good medium to print my LCARS out on?

Thanks.

I was wondering myself what would be best to print them on.
It seems like Mylar would work fine, but I don't really know enough to be sure. Although I have always wanted to print some up with a lightbox behind them, I never have know how they did the ones on the shows. I always assume there is a cheaper way to do things then Hollywood normally picks :D but that might not be true in this case.

Well, on TNG they used B & W negatives with color gels sanwiched between plexi. The later seasons had theirs color printed on some kind of film or another (I think) and wither laminated them to the plastic then covered by smoked plexi, or something similar.

I have done some color printing on transparencies and used plexi and light difusion plastic to back light LCARS before. But I can only print 8.5" x 11", and I am shopping around for a place/material to do larger printings.

I can get up to 60" or so printed on a clear adhesive vinyl and you could laminate it to a white plex. Would have to be carefull to prevent bubbles thought.
