Is it possible...?

Ok, so I finally got my hands on a Predator Bio-Helmet (cheap) and looking it over I was wondering if it was possible to add that glowing eyes effect to it from the original movie. I was thinking of rigging up a temp on/off switch to a glove or something so I can have the effect on hand at my convenience I've been looking at all types of lenses, EL (electroluminescent) tape and wire and am at a loss on what would be the best thing to use for the effect. Could anyone here steer me in the right direction?
