Just had them both in my hads at Walmart this morning. The Rebel blaster isn't too bad but the clone one is horrible for prop transformation. It's so spindly and looks like a 1" dowel with a handle...
I picked them both up, and just finished re-paining them both. I still need to add a few finishing things, but I am happy with both. For the price of each plus a can of spray paint you can't go to wrong. Besides once I put them on the wall to display they will both look just fine. I do agree that the clone blaster could be "more beefy" but as a display (and for the price) it work OK for me.
Are you just using a rattle can to paint these? do you use "fusion" or other paint for plastic? I never have very good luck painting pieces like this where I can't prep them well (get into crevices to sand, etc.)
Paint seems to scratch off easily.
thanks , i did add a few things to it but over all for the money its not bad for trooping , the kids love to play with it, i had the master replica , but to heavy to troop with ..... rod
Threw some paint on my Hasbro nerf clone blaster this weekend, and weathered it a bit. A little undersized but works for me as a display gun.
Less the $20, and about 30 minutes worth of work (not counting drying time) and I am happy with the result.
