Yup it looked like mine only mine was completely unintentional. That on the other hand looks very intentional. Once again very good work

Re: Ironman foam first ever build!! Suit up and repulsor test video!

Oh, I know those mistakes I made. I just ran out of time. The last couple of weeks has been a flurry of activity trying to finish the wife's suit in addition to mine!
I also never got around to making hip pods or shoulder bolts. I also never got to build my knee reinforcements. With led to my left leg ripping apart half way thru the night. :(
These are all things that will Be fixed in the next build.
Next one is also going to have a sub suit similar to what xrobots is doing on his build.

I hear ya. I just finished my Mark VII on Saturday night and wore it to a party while the paint was literally still drying. My friends were loving all the fumes. I skipped the helmet, hands, neck, and hip pods but no one even noticed or cared. It wasn't "convention ready", but it was definitely "halloween party ready". A dark bar covers A LOT of imperfection. :)

My cod piece tore when I tried to do the Iron Man 3-point stance for a photo and my legs basically rested on my feet the rest of the night. That in turn caused my knee joints to tear from the extra weight, but only I could tell. My elbow joints tore as well, so lessons learned all around. I will be making a velcro break in my cod piece instead of trying to keep it all as one piece.

Anyway, here's a pic.

I love that you used a corset for her mid drift region! I showed my partner and her reaction was "Well, whenever you're ready" :p I said I'd think about it when I'd finished the little one's suit.

Re: Ironman foam first ever build!! Suit up and repulsor test video!

I ran into you two at hauntfest saturday (I was the Terminator). Good to see some local people! Suits were amazing!

Re: Ironman foam first ever build!! Suit up and repulsor test video!

Thanks a lot man! Once again, your terminator looked fantastic! I stick around for the next build,! I :)

that looks great man! very detail oriented. love the costumes with all the little details.
after i got done with TDKR costume, im looking to do a hybrid Superman build, for the Man Of Steel midnight showing. Kind of Like an illusionary realism type Tactical armored
superman suit. but yeah man work on a DK . I'd love to see what you'd come up with.

Re: Ironman foam first ever build!! Suit up and repulsor test video!

Not given to open the part of the forearm armor, will you could send me another link of forearm please?

Did i read that the Ironman was your 1st build? wow i hope my 1st one turn out that fantastic! and LOVE your ifes version. Wish my BF was into this and could me with mine! GREAT JOB!

How many cans of plasti-dip did you use?I'm doing the mark vii which i think needs more parts, but i AM thirteen so i should be able to use same amount or less than you :)

I used 1can on plastidip spray on the helmet. That was like $6.
Then I switched to the brush on type for the rest. But I think it only took about 3 or 4 cans of o do the rest of the suit. I switched to brush on because it goes a lot farther per can at the same price. With the spray on, I had to do like 3 coats.

OP, how tall are you? I am 6"3 and i think the original templates may be a tiny bit too small... I only just completed the chest piece and starting on the spine

I am 5'10",180 lbs. I had to make slight alterations all over be specifically in the cod area. I had to scale the cod up to even think about it fitting! (I have about a 34" waist)
The arms worked out great but are a tad big big. But might be perfect for you. I am guessing that the area you will need to modify most is the thighs. You will probably want to scale them up some.
Jfcustoms has put together a great tutorial on how to scale pieces to your exact size somewhere on here. Also, I think Stealth covered it in his video tutorials.
Good luck bro.

Awesome! I will have a look through tonight after I finish work today. I got a 33" waist so lets hope it would be ok. The one I worry about the most is the chest/back and the helmet. I guess I will have to complete the chest/back to see if it would fit.
