Ironman Arc Reactor Attempt (Kind of a tutorial too) WORK IN PROGRESS

Hi all, since, I've been working on an Ironman suit for myself, with the help of friends, I realized there's nothing more essential to an Ironman costume than an Arc Reactor. So I decided to build one to the best of my ability and hope it's passable. I decided to also make this a kind of tutorial for a fairly cheap Arc Reactor in case anyone should try to emulate mine assuming it comes out alright. So without further adue, enjoy my pic/tutorial below. NOTE: PLEASE READ THE PIC DESCRIPTION TO UNDERSTAND WHAT I DID BETWEEN PICS. ALSO THIS IS NOT THE COMPLETE TUTORIAL OR PROP, BUT MERELY THE START.

First a list of materials that I used in this bit of my tutorial.
A tap light
A cardboard box (cut up)
Tin Foil
Tape
A sink Filter (or rather a piece from one)

Alright, the intent of this piece was to make the light bounce up through the sink filter (seen in first pic) because the light source was smaller than the filter. I needed a cone to bounce the light up through the filter and so make a bigger light source. I began by tracing a circle around the filter and then a larger ring around it to make a cone once it's rolled around itself. This was drawn on cardboard

Next I cut it out and rolled it around itself to make a sort of bottomless cone. This was taped together as seen.

After which I painstakingly covered the piece in tinfoil and (since I wasn't using transparent tape) tried to get as little on the inside as possible which resulted as shown

After which I laid it over top of the tap light (note that the inner ring is now as small as the light source so it fit perfectly) and placed the filter over top of that. As follows is that picture and a picture of a tap light not dissimilar from mine. The only difference is that my tap light is black not silver.

Lastly the test of the light reflection. It was successful as seen below.

Please comment and remember its a work in progress and is NOT the finished arc reactor.
