So right now im building my first full eva foam costume of the iron patriot from iron man 3. What I need help with is when i built it i have alot of gaps and seams in my armor pieces. I used hot glue as my adhesive. I had what i thought was a good idea and cover all my seams and gaps with hot glue and once it dried cut off the excess with my hot knife to fill in the seams. Well it didnt turn out according to plan and alot of my seams didnt get filled and i have alot of accidental burns in my pieces from my hot knife. I bought plastidip to use to seal my pieces and I have small craft foam sheets i am using for detail pieces. My question is will the plastidip fill in all the seams, gaps and burn holes in my armor? or should i use my foam sheets to cover up the seams and holes?
Heres one of my shin pieces with the ugly seams and hot knife burns.
