Iron man MK7 help

I'm building an iron man mark 7 suit but I've hit a problem. The part where the legs bend (At the knee) and the arms (At the elbow) I see there is a part that covers those soft spots. Is there anything anyone can recommend to fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated. I see other suits have that covered but, I don't know what they did. I've circled the parts I'm talking about. Can't wait to hear from you amazing people. Thanks!

Have a look on another members build or WIP.
Read as mach as you can.
The RPF is a wonderful resource full of information, but you need to look for it.
People will help you, but at the same time use the search bar.
Sometimes looking will get you answers faster than waiting for them to come to you.
Best of luck brother...

Alright, I'm about to try my best here... So most people just wear red sweatshirts under the armor to solve this problem but in this case I guess you'd like to give it some other shot. Try searching for "iron man elbow cover" or stuff like this. If it gives you a suitable solution, that's good but if it's a dead end then I suggest to freehand it. Draw the individual shapes of these small panels which make up the covers for said areas. You wanna connect them with some elastic fabric or something of a similar material since you're gonna bend your arms and legs and in order to do that, you need these pieces to move individually. If you can get your hands on some foam (preferably EVA) I'd say choose this as the material for the joints. That's the idea so far, I'm gonna take a comfy position and watch the thread for further suggestions/ideas.
Cheers and good luck!

Making them out of pieces of foam would be my best guess as well. I would consider attaching them to the undersuit instead of the armor.

i think this is the effect they were going for. Layered. Anchor to top and bottom. Place lips on inner pieces to pull open.
