Thanks man!!!! I used all of Robo's files... If you use those my scaling should make sense to you.... But I scaled all of the armor up to 26.6 in pepakura except the cod/abs and boots, and I believe they were just a little bitter, bit i can't remember right off the top of my head... I had to build the cod 3 times to get it right...

Thanks!! Yours will get there soon man, you just have to make time for it!!!! I think that the lighting in that warehouse was messing with the colors a little bit.... In person it is definetly gold, I used "Sunburst gold" from duplicolor...

A truly remarkable suit Possibly the best one I've seen in build quality and scaling! I'm going to be building a mark IV out of foam for my first suit, and I've gotta say you have truly inspired me! Great, GREAT job

Small update on my suit I have been kicking around a few ideas to do before Halloween season gets here... So i started with getting some articulation out of my boots........ Here are a few pics of what I am doing with them...

Basically my plan was to cut them in half about where it felt like a natural joint would be when walking... Then building an ear with fiberglass to make as an articulation point, and using pieces of flat steel bar at braces to pivot on, I stead of the fiberglass boot its self.... I didn't cut as much away from the boot as most people do, because I do t want gaps on the sides that the foot flaps don't cover... I will show how this boot articulates as soon as i get it hinged up. But the sides will actually articulate into the front toe part, so there is no gap on the sides.....

I will post some more pics as I get further along in the process.... Which will hopefully be this evening.... Thanks for looking!!

Took the suit out to its, and my, first large convention went to Wizard World Ohio, and won Best Male Hero!, it was a great time, unfortunately I didn't get to walk the convention floor any in my suit, but had fun at the costume contest none the less..

Once we got back from Ohio, I went back to work on updating and improving the suit... Prior to going I had cut my boots in two, trying to improve the mobility of the suit, well before we even got into the building, I had a boot snap in half at the joint, which surprised me, because I had put them on and walked around the house for a good hour a few days prior just to check them out and test them.

Also, I have never been happy with the length of the legs. In every picture of the CGI suit from the movie, it has long slender legs... My thighs were alright, but the calves have always looked short and bulky to me. Not to mention the fact that I can never get the foot flaps to stay connected to the boots due to the calves being too short.. so, solution, was to cut the calves in half, and extend them about an inch.... Only issue was that, the extra fiberglass on the Interior of the calf to mend them back together, makes it pretty hard to get my foot in and out.. ill deal with that later.... But all in alll, I am my h happier with the overall look of the longer calf.

More to come!!! But will have to wait until after Halloween......
