Re: Iron-Man MK 25 "Striker" Build [LEGS DONE!!]

yeah. . .biggest and the heaviest part of the suit. . .

it is hinged with the bicep. . .although the mobility isn't good, i can articulate them to atleast make this pose

OMG ur builds are amazing! Would it be cooler if you build a forearm+hands to it so you can just eject/insert the hammers whenever you want?

Re: Iron-Man MK 25 "Striker" Build [90% DONE]

ohh shiiit its hammer time :) they look awesome dude.

thanks guys. . .it's not really a fast build though, i had to work on each part for about 4 hours (?) then work on my other commission stuffs. . .sort of multitasking things. . .the difference is that this "striker" is so ******* hard to build. . .harder than the Mark 5 or the Mark 42. . .since I'm using the undetailed low poly 3d game model. . .cutting templates alone is a really pain in the you know what i mean. .

.__. DAYUM!! I totally wanna commission one of these!!!

this is not a commission thread (and i think i cant post a thread like that until i made my paypal account verified for a couple of days and make myself a premium member :lol)
but i think i won't include this on the buildable list. . .because is so damn hard to build. . .

Thanks man. . .thats the original idea, I planned to use a mark 6 forearms as a base platform for the jackhammers, but i rejected the idea because the arms is already heavy for me, and i will lose 100% mobility in the arms, so far i had atleast 65% mobility in the joint areas of the arms, i can only make a "L" shape pose :facepalm but i think it's fine that way, also, the spaces on the jackhammer forearms are suitable for me to put a wireless switch for the motorized helmet i'm working on. since i can't use my arms to remove my helmet. . .

--------------------------

and an update. . .worked on this for the last 2 hours. . .I manage to get the helmet done, using SmookCMb's Mark 3-in-1 helmet file, although locked, I manage to get the default scale file built :) so detailed helmet by the way, some details are missing on the unfold but i just added them manually. . .

the plan is to use epoxy primer on the helmet only, and then motorize it using the same servo set-up i used on my heartbreaker

I won't be working on this for 2 days to get the iron-patriot commission shipped next week so thanks for viewing :thumbsup

Re: Iron-Man MK 25 "Striker" Build [PIC HEAVY]

Having conversations with my buddy @GhostMinion about the paint scheme of Striker. . .I was supposed to use black, silver and yellow for the suit but I decided to use Grey, Silver and Yellow. . .here's the test paint of the shoulders. . .not to bad. . .not perfect but this will work fine for me. :)

Going to work on the other parts. . .I still have until saturday afternoon for this to be fully painted.

Re: Iron-Man MK 25 "Striker" Build [PIC HEAVY]

50% of the suit is painted as of (8:35am)

Still working on painting the upper torso and the freakin' pneumatic hammers. Paint scheme is based from the game model.

SmookCMb's Mark 25 Helmet Epoxy Primed, rigid enough for me to add some motorization later. .hopefully it works :facepalm

Crap I think I gonna need to borrow Snow White's Dwarfs :lol

Thanks for the views! :)
