so this is 3 days worth of work (from Monday to Wednesday) I haven't been working as much as I thought I would be but here's what I've done so far:
Day 1
I bought these camping mats for a great price as I was unable to get a hold of the eva foam mats which I desired.
Templates cut and pieced to trace
templates cut out on the camping mats and assembled.
Day 2
I had a picture of the templates for the back but it didn't upload.
here's the pics for the back I guess it looks ok I could have done this in one day but for both days I only worked a few hours.
Day 3
The Velcro
These are the abs I used Velcro as it made the abs easy to wear.
This is the back and chest put together on the left side I put Velcro and on the right I glued it with hot glue
and this is the abs (or in my case belly area) and the chest and back

Looks good ignition, I've signed up this week as I've started my own MK4 build using JFCustoms quick build pep files today.
I'm using similar mats to those, I actually tried to buy those ones from B&M but they've stopped stocking all the camping products now so couldn't get any.
Look forward to seeing your progress.

I found very similar mats to the B&M ones on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yellowstone-Camping-Foam-Mat-Blue/dp/B002ZF63XG/
I did manage to get one returned mat from B&M and these seem to be identical to them.
How's your build coming along ignition? I've just about finished the upper body of mine now.
