Just ran across this tidbit in case any of our members are going - could be a great opportunity to take photos!

Superhero Hype! has also learned that you can see the actual "Mark I" suit from the movie worn by Robert Downey Jr. at the Marvel booth at Comic-Con this week. The suit was created at Stan Winston Studio.

New pic released today! I'll be buying this issue I think :p All I've got to say is "coolest. prop. ever." (well, nearly so for me at least.) ...and the illustration that the pose is taken from (note the armor is a little different):

I think it's cool that they pay homage to the comic with a promo shot like that. I've never been much of an Iron Man fan, but I'll see this flick just because they seem to be so respectful of the source material.

Only pic I've seen so far is the Stark Industries container that more than likely has the suit in it....

There's a pic of Robert Downey Jr. in the latest Entertainment Weekley with the hand armor on. :)

Nice pics thanks for posting.

I never expected them to really build a Mark 1 suit...is it only going to be a display piece in the film, or wearable?

Anyone ever read the old comic "Iron Man Technical Manual" had details about how each suit of armor....and layered it. Neat stuff.

Thank you for the pictures. I was there today, and there was still a big box standing there. I was wondering if they were going to just leave it in the box as a big tease.

BTW, it's a MADHOUSE down there!

Geebus. Bout freakin time they opened the box. After three days it still wasn't on display and I had to leave San Diego. Bastards.

anyone get a close shot of the mask? would be cool to make the mask plate.
