Dont worry pep is alot of trial and error in the scaling department, sometimes you have to build a part more than once to find out what scale to set all the pieces at, you have done a fine job on that helmet but yes it is too big, so when you open that file again in pepakura go to your 2d menu, then pick change scale, from there it will give you an option to either increase or decrease the scale by 10%, chose decrease scale by 10%
and this should be a good size for that helmet on you, you may have to move around the pieces on the right hand side of the screen so they all fit within the pages when you go to print. Dont feel discouraged, i myself have done the exact same thing on my first helmet, yup even fiberglassed it before i rebuilt !

thanks! now ill give it another go, i cant wait to get it ready for the convention im going to in 6 months.

Is there like a formula you can use to or any pointers on sizing it cause I did the same thing I built my first one way way to small the the next one way to big (its about the size of a motorcycle helmet) or what would be about a average size head digits I'm planning on doing the whole suit just curious

Dont worry anytime i have to restart a piece i just think about how cool it will be when its done and that at least i found out early. Just stay postive and push on through [emoji3]

What I did was have someone measure the width of my head (from the side of my head (above the ear) to the other side... basically the distance across (as if the ruler is going through your head) not the distance around. Then in Pepakura Designer there's an option called 'Measure Distance Between Two Points' (right click in the grey area, or go to 2D Menu > Edit mode). Then click on a point right above the ear pod on one side of the helmet then drag it to the point on the other side. This will tell you how much space you'll have in the helmet at that scale. This is good for deciding a good scale before you go to the effort of building it. If your head width is considerably less than the helmet width it is too large, and if the opposite is true it won't fit at all.

You can do this for height or depth, as well.
