Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

Ahh i see, it seems like becase of all the extra detail you have at the top of the thighs (looks great by the way) that it would be hard to walk in. Either way it looks fantastic.

I am 5'9 too. Lets share your iron man :p

Yes, it is,

Hola
Saludos !!!

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

the proportions on the suit are amazing.

The porportions is one of the most important part, then details ect........of course the person that wearing the suit it should be at least in good shape, if you want to look as a superhero type, when i use one of my suit i try to loose those bad extra pounds ( a lot rice and beans here in Puerto Rico:love) before i use it not always i can but i try, but that is me, if you feel proud of you extras pounds go for it.
For my IM suit i need to loose at least 15lbs (now i'm 35 jean size, not good), boot insert 3 or 4 inches tall and :thumbsup

Re: Iron Man Costume from Puerto Rico (pepakura)

Thanks Guys, that made me happy, thanks, this is my energy to keep up, i'm doing all by myself and it is a pain in the butt. I still working with the armor gloves, it is not easy with fiberglass but i'm almost there, i want this gloves be as comfortable as can be, now i figured out where and how to add a hidden swicth, plus i will add on top of the armor hand a battery case so i can turn on and turn off the light with the finger, no need of the other hand to do it.
Today i went to the car paint store and they were surprised with the ironman photos and they want to paint it, he said kandy apple red and kandy gold.
i think that is the best color choice. Probably i can get this paint job for free, i just need to promotion his store wherever i exibit my Ironman, i got interview for the a TV last month, they showed my Ironman procees, how i made the latex mask, my paintings...ect........the tv show want to make another interview when the Ironman is finish this my chance to promo everybody:love

P.S. I got few emails from diferent members interesting of my IM suit, i will like to make copies but i'm not very good making big molds and I don't have the money for molds materials neither, all depends how many members are interesting and probably i can try to make a run but all depends.........

Hi, been busy for a while, here some photos of the gloves plus a little video how they work. Not sound on the video.
they are very comfortable it took me about 5 weeks to finished them, the armor fingers have a fishing cord inside on both sides almost like the real ones. Very hard to make if someday i want to sell this suit the gloves are not include. I bought the spray gun, automobile primer. i have all the equipment to start painting the armor. One or two more weeks. I hope so.

Wow those gloves. You put allot of efforts into that. I belive allot of people take allot of the things we the costructors do for granted or simply dont know how much time and work is put into each detail to make it work. Great dedication you put into it.

Now you taken this much time and energy into makeing this suit i am sure you understand how we feel after all the time sculpting it from scratch :D

Keep up your fantastic build! I love it.

We used many different colors. But these are not to obtain in USA.
I used Ford, Renault and even tried a gold chrome...

Try looking for a Arizona Gold.
