Merge a couple of Rick Sternbach's pre-production sketches--

Still a WIP, obviously. Eventually the nacelle half will be slathered in Bondo, sanded, primed, and used to vac-form shells.

The impulse engines are just roughed in and not yet glued on.

The "tongue" on this one is a touch longer than on your stock Voyager.

Interesting projekt :)
I have build the model of the Voyager a year ago. Your scratchbuild parts are looking very good. Nice start. Keep it up !

Thanks, Ratbone! Got any pics of your build? I'd like to see it. Your scratchbuilt shuttle from TNG is quite good.

Now, an update. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Thank you :) Mine is just straightforward out of the box, with some small details added (missing lifeboats and some hull details) and lights.

Your scatchbuild parts are fitting better, than the original parts :D amazing. I had some very bad fit issues in the end... saucer section and engineering section on the neck.

Killer build, Ratbone! I love the lighting. Did you use an aftermarket kit for that or make your own rig? I'm considering lighting mine, but I've never done it before.

And yeah, the kit does have some pretty gnarly fit issues; you seem to have conquered them, however.

Thank you :)
This was my first try too. The hardest part was to cut out all the windows. This is my own lighting - just some cables, resistors, LEDs and LED-Tape. No blinking or strobing lights, it was my first try, so nothing complicated. My first time soldering too... but it works.
