Interesting Differences Between Two Pendleton Westerley's (The Big Lebowski)

I was lucky enough to pick up the Westerly (Right) for a steal at $40. It's my go-to. I just found this other Westerley (Left) today and the differences are interesting.

The material on the left one is a bit more itchy and appears darker and is also lighter in weight than the one on the right. The zipper pull is also a YKK. The tag puts it into a similar time period as the one on the right.

Were there variations in material feel etc and isn't YKK a newer type of zipper.

Interesting differences and also great finds! I've never handled a vintage one but love the variations on eBay that I've found.

i've always hated and found it odd how the current modern Pendleton has the massive gap from the first stripe on the sleeve to the cuff. To me visually it's just so much wasted space and what's the point? Why not make it the same as the vintage ones?
