install dreads

hello all
trying to put the dreads on my mask .. have a hard time getting the glue to hold

any help would be great......

I use a small amount of super glue to lightly attach it to the mask, and then use Dap Weldwood contact cement to firmly adhere them.
 
I've always used just superglue only (the medium thickness - called "gap filling" at the hobby stores). Mainly because contact cement sets up much slower than superglue does.
 
If you really want them to stick good. You cut a hole and push them in and glue around that. Also cutting the dread end at a 45 degree angle helps them in laying down or tie the dread up for a few days.
 
Totally agree with TMI, cutting a hole then gluing is the way to go, i even left my 1st set of bambooies full length, with the extra length inside, then foam filled over them, the dreds would rip before they came out .
