Innerspace chip

Hi all
Working on something I've wanted for a long time. The miniturizaton chips from the film innerspace. Started this a few years ago. Here's where it's at so far. I've ordered the TO-5 semiconductors and will see how that goes. This is a mock up so far.

I’ll never forget this film because I experienced my first power outage as a kid right in the middle of it.

Awesome! I have wanted to do this too but I cannot find stock of the red anodized TO-5 heatsink anywhere, only the black. This is the part I've been looking for 326005R00000G. Any suggestions?

Innerspace Miniaturization Chips

I ran a search of the Prop Forum, and it looked like there was some interest in these a while back. Well I'm interested today! :) Looking at the DVD, I would guess the chips are machined brass. Here's some screencaps:

The part inside the red anodized heatsink has never really been identified. They used an older semiconductors with ten pins. I haven't found any ten pins ones. Closest I've seen have been eight pin ones. Have two arriving today. Gonna cut the top off and see how it looks compared to the screen used images. The one I made needs to be painted a brass or gold color and the metal square needs to be bigger.

I am 99% sure that they used the Fairchild uA747 op amp integrated circuit

Thank you. I thought that part number was specifically for the black anodized, but it looks like the red ones are sometimes sold under it too.
