hey don't knock mark hamill. he's very underrated.

good voice talent and he's done a lot of theatre

Dunno about this...
If they lose the blatant CGI (stupid monkeys), stay away from aliens/sci-fi... but then they'd probably want to bring Shia La-thingy back so that's a big 'No' right there.

Actually, I think Hamill would save the movie.

IF this movie gets made, it will either be a fun- and action-filled sendoff of an iconic franchise, or a miserable piece of dreck.

To minimize dreck: do an intervention with Spielberg; get him back on track. Lock George Lucas in a cave somewhere and hire a look-alike that will offer Spielberg support such as "No, I think we should use real stunts and effects; cgi is overdone these days." and "Let's get back to the old Raiders premise of story and character development; while we're at it, let's keep the stunts from going *too* over-the-top.".

OH! Whoops! Gotta go: my spouse just told me there's a squadron of pigs flying over and I wanna have a look!

Not knocking Hamill. Afterall I wouldn't wanna F with a Jedi Master! (Can't stay away from those Jay and Silent Bob refs for some reason)

He has done a ton of amazing voice work, but why a sudden return to major screen releases? He doesn't seem like hes been trying to stay in mainstream cinema so this just kind of seems odd.

Maybe we could get Carrie Fisher in there as well.

Wait! Thats it! 1st Indy found aliens now he's gonna find Star Wars!

There was nothing saying Hamill was in it - just a fan saying he'd be a good choice.

Geez. See how rumors get started? Although starting a groundswell of support could be a *good* thing :)

I didn't mind Shia in Indy 4. But I hated the CGI and very poorly executed jungle chase sequence.

I'd like to see Hamil return to big screen roles.
I love The Big Red One and I thought he did a decent job of playing a bit of a nasty guy in Slipstream too!!!

As far as I'm concerned, all CGI has done to the movie industry is incite a huge pissing contest amongst filmmakers to outdo their competitors. I know it brings their insurance down to not have the actors do their own stunts, but it gave the film more bang for your buck to watch them safe in the knowledge that that was actually the star of the film, on screen, in a life and death situation and not just sped up footage on a green screen and they're safe and sound in the studio.

This is why a lot of films these days bore me.

WTF? :confused

Indiana Jones 5 (????) - IMDb

The comments are amusing (actually, the suggestion to cast Mark Hamill as a villain is pretty good!)

You guys are NOW just noticing this? Spielberg announced it a few months back. From what I heard, it was actually going to be the very LAST Indiana Jones, and that Spielberg said that he was going to do it old school (from what I remember reading somewhere).

"...a few months back." *I* was in hibernation! :lol

I'm slow. News gets to me at its own pace; I don't seek it out. :)

If what you say is true, there may be hope for this movie yet! (Though he better hurry; Ford gets a more vacant look on his face every day :confused)

"Let it go"...Lucas.

If they could do animated "Indiana Jones Adventures" that focus on his early days with Wu Han, Abner Ravenwood, etc..THAT I would care about. Keep it intelligent and focus on story and characters with action as icing on the cake.

lol @mark hamill and indy 5 :D
