Indiana Jones revolver

I just checked my tracking number and now it's saying they are unable to retrieve my tracking information at this time.

:( Also that I do not currently have any shipments. That's weird. It's not like it vanished.

I had the same thing happen with Fed Ex this morning and then around lunch time it was back and 15 minutes later my package arrived. I think is most likely things are really screwed up with the tracking systems at this time, at least I hope so for your sake. Good luck.

I'm glad you got your's without issue. I've called Fedex twice and I couldn't make out what the representative was saying either time other than taking my phone number. They said they would reach out to me to tell me the status once they did more research. Hopefully my pistols will be on their way soon. I know that given the circumstances in the world it's really not all that important, so I'm trying to keep things in perspective.

As much as I like the Browning, I have another model I much prefer so I just listed the Tanaka version in the Junkyard for anyone who is interested.

I know Todd's did a blued finish for his PFC version and there was another Steel version of the PFC that was offered by Tanaka. That version even had some nice artwork of Indy on the box.

I've always preferred the real steal finish when I can get them, and Tanaka isn't the only company that has offered them in the past, because it looks more real. I'm old school so I remember when most pistols, except ones for the military came with a nice polished blue finish, or at least the option, but nowadays it seems most pistols, and firearms in general, come with some sort of parkerized type finish.

Well I finally got a hold of a FedEx rep that I could understand (my first two calls to them were so muffled with their headset connections I couldn't make out a word they said) and apparently my pistols are likely being held in customs. They are investigating it and likely questioning their end use. I told the FedEx rep that I am a movie prop collector and these will only be used for display so as to clear up any concerns about misuse. The problem is that it could take up to an additional 30 days to clear which is really annoying. Again I'm fully aware that in the grand scheme of things that this is really not all that important but it's certainly frustrating.

I got the Browning without issue and you all got yours without issue. I think it's because I ordered two at the same time. Ah well.

Wow, man. I can imagine just how frustrating that is. It probably is something like that though, even if a bit ridiculous. I mean what is this the 70's or 80's?! No one uses large, obsolete century old revolvers for crime anymore lol.

Just kidding, man. I really hope you do get them sooner rather than later but at least now you know it isn't because the package is lost or returned, etc.
But, if it makes you feel any better, I still haven't even ordered one so you're still likely to get them before me so you're still ahead of me in that regard ;) .

Thanks. I appreciate that. Like I said it's not the worst thing. I'm just impatient. I think if you order one Solos blaster you wouldn't have a problem getting it. I think the issue is that I ordered two at the same time. I had considered ordering the Browning along with both Smith and Wessons but I did them separately. I should have ordered each one by itself.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Out of curiosity, which model do you prefer?

We-Tech from Taiwan makes a Browning Hi-Power. It has an adjustable rear sight.

Hope you received the package by now. I just received the m1917 today, and I Had ordered middle of last week.

I'm glad you got yours. Mine are still stuck in customs. There is no doubt in my mind the reason it's been delayed is because I ordered two at the same time. I really should have ordered them separately.

So my replicas got seized by customs because Smith and Wesson is making claim to copyright violation. So unless I get written permission from Smith and Wesson (which is HIGHLY unlikely) then my items are due to be destroyed and I am out that money. Plus I had to dig and make numerous phone calls before I was able to get two different people, both of whom were thankfully very polite and helpful so I am grateful for that.

Apparently I should be expecting a letter from customs officially informing me of the matter with my possible options going forward.

That is not cool at all! Man, I think I feel like I need to cancel my order now because of this.

That is really strange to happen though. They must have contacted S&W during the inspection and that brought about their decision.

What a load of crap. Did they at least give a reason as to why your package was inspected? I know not every package is inspected by customs but it's not completely random either (most times anyway) so I'd like to know why yours was but others sent from them were not.

I bet it was just a random search to fill quota.

I mean I can't complain totally as I own several other replicas of this pistol but I wanted to add these to my collection too. It's more the fact that I will be out the money that makes me mad.

If your order already processed I'm not sure if there is anything you can do about it. Though there is a really good chance your order will process with no issue because everyone else got theirs without a problem. Plus I got my Hi Power with no problem either. I really think it got flagged because I bought two at the same time.
