Indiana Jones revolver

I got a FedEx tracking number today in my inbox so we'll see what happens.
I'd be curious to know when you ordered yours. I ordered mine last Friday with my last paycheck, but despite showing that the order was picked in the warehouse in a matter of hours, it still hasn't shipped. I've also heard from a friend that Japan Post may not be doing international shipping for the time being, but I'm not sure if that was specific to the site he ordered from, or if it's all of Japan Post.

I ordered mine about 8 days ago. The tracking number says it's due to arrive tomorrow but I highly doubt that seeing as how I only today got the tracking information. I'll keep you posted.

Waiting to see you get yours Psab keel ! I still haven't ordered one yet lol

For those wondering, Denix does make a Webley(I have one), but it is based off the .38 and not the .455 so it looks all sorts of wrong, but does work as a placeholder.

There's someone one here who has done runs of the correct WG in resin, and there was talk of it a few years ago, but nothing ever came of it. Here's hoping it may one day lol.

I have owned several of Rook's Aluminum Cold Cast Resin Webley WG Pistols in the past. Gorgeous props but he hasn't made them in several years. Here are some shots of the last one I owned. I sold this off a few years ago BTW:

I never thought I would ever see the day when commercially available (and fan made in the case of Field Marshall) all metal Sterling Submachine guns would be made for E-11 Blaster conversions, much less a Webley Mark VI all metal Airsoft or Pellet Gun. Who knows, perhaps Rook will do another Cold Cast Resin or there will be metal ones made by Tananka at some point. I know Todd Coyle tried for years to gauge interest in making a PFC Version of the WG model but never got enough interest to invest in the tooling to have one made like he did for his Smith and Wesson.

All that said I will post pictures of my Smith and Wesson Tanaka Airsofts when they arrive as well as the Browning Hi Power.

I'll give you $150 above what you paid if you ever wanna sell

At the moment I have no plans to sell, as I have yet to finish assembling my gear. But I'll keep that in mind.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the Hi-Power. Also, I'm not usually one for resin replicas of firearms, but this one's beautiful!

I'm not typically much for Resin or 3D printed props myself as a general rule but given how good this one (and others of his I owned over the years) it was a must have. His was cast directly from a real Webley WG which is why it bears specific markings. Just to be clear though, this resin cast was not from one of the screen used pistols. Back when I sold this there was some confusion as to whether or not it had any lineage to the films themselves, which it does not.

In this case it would be like if I made a superb casting off the correct model Graflex 3 Cell flash to make a lightsaber prop. Same exact model of item and type used in the film, but not THE graflex used in the films. Make sense?

Awesome pics man, she is gorgeous!

I was thinking it was Rook but I didn't want to name drop if it wasn't lol. Thanks for confirming.

The whole PFC thing the S&W and the WG, that's one of the huge differences between Indy and SW collecting. There seems to never be an end to those who want replica blasters and lightsabers, but whips and revolvers and a lot of Indy stuff seems so much more "niche". Maybe that will be the only good to come of another Indy movie would be to stir up interest in the IJ Trilogy props.

Oh no worries! I think his work on those was excellent and I was lucky enough to own several of his over the years.

Yeah I find that is a tough one too. The popularity of the Indy films and the demand for whips, hats, pistols, jackets, and other items seems to be much more spread out, likely due to the fact that there was almost 20 years between Last Crusade and Crystal Skull and even that was released already 12 years ago now and with the fifth film being pushed back it will only further delay the demand for more Indy items. My only interest thus far in a fifth installment is also for the hope of new vendors of props and costume pieces to be more readily available for collectors like us.

I really had hoped that Todd was going to have enough interest in getting the funds to do a PFC version of this Webley, but seeing that a lot of nicely made airsoft versions of historical firearms have become available to collectors in recent years perhaps there is hope that one day we might see an Army Model done correctly. If the airsoft and reenactment community shows interest and the demand warrants it, it would benefit Indy gear fans too. It would be a win for both communities.

Especially if Tanaka made it! Oh man, if it were anything like their Smith and Wesson PFC, it would be spectacular!

Got my tracking on my Revolver yesterday and it's slated to be delivered by this Friday, but it has yet to budge. My friend shared this with me, so it might end up being a while. I fully expect the holster I ordered from Magnoli to get here before the revolver does.

I dunno about that. I don't know what's going on with Magnoli's shipping, but the situation I'm dealing with is my tracking hasn't updated for two weeks. According to the tracking number, it was cleared for departure from NZ two weeks ago, and the tracking hasn't budged since 22 April.

Hmmm, the plague could be affecting shipping in the whole South Pacific region.

My Smith and Wessons are in Hawaii in the process of clearing customs.

My Hi Power arrived yesterday though, which is funny because I ordered it the day after I ordered the revolvers and it arrived sooner.

Here are some pics as promised. The last shot is of the screen used pistols from the Making of Indiana Jones book. The Smith and Wesson and the Browning Hi Power (for comparison).

Is there a specific detail you're looking for Chris92?

It's hard to see from the pictures but it does have the correct markings (from what I can tell) to the real one. The only major difference between this replica and the screen used pistol shown in the book is the loop for the lanyard attachment. Other than that it has the fixed rear sight and black grips as seen on the real gun.

If I'm being honest, I'm considering selling this one. As nice as it is, I have another Browning airsoft I like better, even though it's not as accurate as this one. I ordered some new grips for that and when I have those installed I'll likely post this one here in the junkyard.
