Indiana Jones - Grail Knight Sword collaboration with "Magnoli Props"

That sword looks very much like the Marto version of the Charlemagne coronation sword, though a good bit rougher. The Marto sword has a cleaner aspect, sharper imaging- but the flying griffons or lions of the crossguard with the matching beasts on the pommel are nearly spot-on. I wonder if Marto copied the sword - or the movie guys picked one up/copied that sword.

These are all based on the original sword, currently residing at the Louvre museum. The main difference from one manufacturer to the next is the blade style. The Marto version has gold designs along the blade and a much shorter fuller, if memory serves. The film sword has a relatively wide blade and a very long fuller, which is what we're reproducing.

@ Indy Magnoli & Sarednab: As you are talking about Marto. I wonder if you both would also be avle to do a run for the Orellana Nazca Dagger. I'm searching this for several years know, but it's almost impossible to find a mint condition one. I'm 100% sure that there would be enough interested members supporting you with this. What do you think?

The original is SUPER detailed... the etching is SO deep, you can't really get that effect from a casting. Lucky for us though, the one in the film is not so detailed.

The updated prototype should be ready by the end of this month. Once it is approved, we'll start the main run (which could take a month or more... so, if all goes well, probably shipping some time in January).

Here's the prototype hilt casting with updated patina finish:
