Imperial Shuttle Concept Vehicle - Scratch Build

The Alpha Series Action Fleet toys included a miniature of the Star Wars Imperial Shuttle Concept Vehicle designed by Joe Johnston. Using a clear, plastic Christmas ornament as inspiration (originally intended for my Republic Gunship turret project) I decided to make a larger version of the Concept vehicle.
In addition to the Christmas ornament, I am using parts from a chopped up Action Fleet Tydirium Shuttle, a toy robot, and whatever else I can find. There much more to do but here's where I'm at:

Love this! What a great job you have done. Love seeing the build process. Can't wait to see it painted and weathered.

99.5% done.

Admittedly there are many surface imperfections - it’s driving me crazy.
Not happy with weathering. But …

Ok, I’m finished. Not perfect but ….

What's worse ... as it was leaving the Corellian port in Doaba Guerfel - on its maiden voyage - it was attacked by a cruiser operated by the Crymorah crime syndicate. The ventral sub-light engine cooling refractor array was damaged by blaster fire and the failure of its power coupling - despite all attempts to simply bypass it - made it difficult for them to escape.
They managed to escape by hiding amongst a herd of wayward Purrgils and then following them into the hyperspace simu-tunnel that they had just formed. Luckily the Purgills didn't mind - as you know they are peaceful whale-like creatures who lead galactic scientists to discover hyper space. When the captain and crew arrived at Corruscant they were graced with an approving glance by their commander.
The Crymorah ship that attacked them ran into a giant Purrgil turd which Covered the bridge window long enough for them not to notice an astroid approaching Which of course destroyed them

Love it. Paint and weathering look so good and I love the little back story you provided, give your build so much more depth.
