Gentlemen, what boots are used in the original trilogy for the officers? I understand they are German boots from the 2nd WW era. Any recommendations as to where I can purchase some originals or reproductions?

You are looking for Equestrian Boots, or English riding boots.

Imperialboots.com makes a set, but they have been a little slow with replies to people lately. I have not seen these.
Indy Magnoli makes a wonderful looking set http://www.magnoliclothiers.com/falcon-boots-p-598.html which are listed as Falcon boots.

I picked up a pair of leather riding boots on ebay listed as equestrian riding boots - Federicka.
They are pretty nice, but only come in certain sizes.

If you are a larger size, you will have a more difficult time finding boots. I happen to be a 10.5-11 and I ordered an 11 for comfort.

If you go to imperialofficer.com you will find lots of resources for parts and pieces.

I have seen and handled a pair of Indy's boots, and I'd recommend them to anyone! They are definitely on my want list!

I've been looking also and gave been haunting my local tack shops. For the right look I was told by the people at the tack shop to look for Equestrian dress riding boots.
So I did and bought a pair for $150 and am very happy with them.
