ILM 1976-78 home movies

I can't stop watching this. I think we as humans love to see dreams come true for one another - just another thing that these new remakes, reboots and product based movies lack.

thank you sooooooooo much for posting this.

just plain awesome :) Makes me feel happy and sad and inspired and very old all at the same time..Little did they know then what a great and long-lived art project they were creating..classic!! Thank you David
Love the "temporary" Ivanhoe music too...

A very cool video!

Man, they are so lucky to have been part of something like that. It is weird watching the footage of them creating something that has influenced me so much.

Thanks for the link! :)

Just saw that girl Mary Lind on the video.

No idea who she was until I saw pics of her in the "Making of Star Wars" book.(She did the film cataloging or something.)

Anyway...she stood out in the book because something else was always standing out on her. (May explain the many pics taken of her. I guess tight blouses were pretty hip in the 70's?)

Anyway...funny to see her in the video as well.

It's not all been reduced to a slew of fat guys behind computers.
LOL.....very true.

Fantastic footage! Thanks!

The Super Slider party footage is gold! I wonder if that's the day that the pissed off Fox execs showed up! lol

I've watched this 4 times now. LOVE it!

How blessed each of those people were to have been part of such a pioneering and legendary team.

And how fortunate we are to have been able to share in the fruits born of their labor and genius.

The Wook

Mmmm...the seventies.

When men did not shave their faces and women did not shave "down there". :)

QFT. :thumbsup

He means that in this edit, so much of the footage has been speed up to a blur between scenes and paused frames... what a treat to watch though!

That's why I said use slo-mo. I was thinking that it's too fast as well. Would be nice to see it at normal speed. Definitely cool to see though.

If CTF is right and it was all shot at 12fps then there never was a "normal-speed" version of this footage.

True, but wouldn't it make it look normal? I guess it might be choppy and such. Almost like stop-mo animation?
