Setting or universe with choice of character to be?

I'd want to live in the Star Trek universe, the TNG era in particular, where I can be a Starfleet officer.

That was one of my first thoughts. Holodeck fantasy sessions, phasers, transporters.... tough to beat.

- Star Wars if I could be a Jedi (or Sith)
- DC/Marvel if I could have a choice of powers
- Skyrim seems like it could be a fun place to be
- I like the Prototype game series
