Hi,
I've been running through some options for my son for Halloween. He wants to be a Clone...either Rex or Gree (he bounces back and forth). I have a deluxe clone costume
Deluxe Clone Trooper Kids Costume - Kids Star Wars Costumes
Helmet isn't bad, but the body armor is really thin eva foam. I have the foam pep file from (BSD? ) and will try to use that.
Is there any point to use the body suit? He wanted hard armor this year (last year he was Master Chief with EVA and plasti-dip), and I am picking up some Epsilon tomorrow. Could I Epsilon the thin foam, or would it be just crap?
I need to get working on it as time is always short. For Rex's kama and pauldron any ideas for material to use? faux leather?
Also, if he goes with Rex...should I try to make a rangefinder...leave it off, or steal one from his Hasbro Rex helmet?
The phase two helmet is pretty thin, and I may reinforce it somehow on the inside. The Hasbro helmet is just to big, bobble-headed and heavy for him. I don't have time to bondo that helmet and re-do for accuracy...just trying to get the suit "close-enough."
If he really wants Gree...how the heck do you paint a good looking camoflage!? I would paint the helmey, but forgo the gfreen tint eye shield.
>So to sum up...Epsilon thin store bodysuit??...or start from scratch? (did a eva suit with master chief previously).

>Material for Rex's kama and pauldron?
>Rangefinder? I have an extra rangefinder from a Hasbro helmet...has anyone used the elctronics from that in their clone suit?
Can I use Epsilon on the inside to reinforce the helmet? Will it stick to the thin plastic?
>The store bought costume comes with flimsy latex belt...any way I could reinforce that too (add more latex...caulking)?
Any and all ideas would help!
Thanks!
