I've looked at this model and really want it, but just don't have the room for it. I think the Tamiya 1/350 is based on the Big E around 1995 or maybe a bit later. It is definitely pre-2006 since it has F-14s (F-14 was retired from service in 2006). I doubt there were any big changes to most of the ship between 1995 and 2011, although I wouldn't be surprised if some of the masts and antenna had changed in that time frame as well as possibly some of the defensive armaments. The biggest change between the kit and 2011 is going to be in the air wing. Like I said, the F-14 was retired. In 2011 the air wing would be made up mostly of F-18F and F-18E models. It would still have the EA-6 and E-3 aircraft and SH-60 and HH-60 Seahawks.

About 2/3 of the way down this page you get a nice group of pictures of the BIG E in 2011

I just noticed on the archive link that it mentions the Big E was put into extended dry dock in 2010, so I would guess there are some weapons and electronics changes.
