i need help with a helmet

hi every one i am working on a sci-fi helmet with a chrome face plate like the one evil ted smith made but sadly i don't know how he attached the chrome mask any ideas? i think the mask is on top of the seam rather then under it.

Also i need help making a head form should i use duct tape or plaster bandages?
