I need help latexing my costume?

hey guys i have some questions and im hoping you can answer them please. IM just starting out with my costume. Im going to buy a muscle suit. But i want it to look really neat some im going to buy a gallon of latex i found on the web for lik 35 $ Good deal. But I dont know how to latex my costume. Like the procedure to do it. And do i need anyhting else other thna the latex. Help me please
