I made a spaceship

So a while back i made a Vac Suit from the Expanse. It was representative of a completely non canon character and i decided he needed a non canon ship.

So i made one. Using an old XL-55, an Iona SP-4, some photoetch bits, sheet styrene, model parts and a ping pong ball.

The OPA vessel Reisender. A former mid range gas hauler modified to a long range survey vessel.

You've managed to achieve results I have been striving for:
1. Original design (who's to say if the scale is off or that one panel is 2mm larger than it should be).
2. Space weathering - subtle, not overdone. Speaks to a ship not prone to atmospheric landings.
3. Using what's at hand to make something else. All too often, the components are either just slapped on and seem out of place or are too unmodified and therefore recognizable... either of which detracts from the fantasy image.
My one petty gripe (and it's hard to do in hindsight) is that I'd have loved to see the build progress, not just the finished project.
