Hulk Hogan passes away

End of an era. He got me into wrestling in the 80's as a kid and while I stopped watching western wrestling in 97, Hogan was always the iconic face of it. Even if you weren't a wrestling fan you still knew who Hulk Hogan was. When I switched over to exclusively following the Japanese promotions in 99 I was surprised to see some of Hogan's NJPW matches where he actually wrestled instead of following the WWF character script he was most known for.

Yeah, it's super dumb, but still a fun silly movie

TV wrestlers run their bodies so hard. Big bulky guys + steroids + painkillers + Hollywood excesses + decades of life on the road . . . they typically die early like rockstars.

'Suburban Commando' is one of those movies that I decided never to watch. I figured it was best enjoyed as a piece of poster/cover art alone.

Idolized him as a child and pretty much opposite as an adult. But there is no denying he was an absolute icon and boosted professional wrestling off the map. Its going to be weird not seeing him pop up every now and then on WWE

Yep...and that movie is cheesy, and probably good I watched it as a kid.
Got some good quotable lines.

You know I always joke about this movie.. one of my favorites… now it’s time to build armor.. already found some of the parts.. now it’s time to make the enough
Actually, now that I think about it...I don't think I've ever seen anyone do a cosplay of his character before. Guess I could look on Google.
But that would be a really cool one for sure.
