How would I be able to customize this into HAL9000?

It's a Flip UltraHD Video Camera. When I first saw it I was immediately reminded of the HAL9000. I don't know what to do or how to make much stuff. Maybe a cover can be bought? Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated.

Proportions are a little off.

You might search for covers or cases for the camera, and then paint that or add custom vinyl decals, or glue on some plastic bits for the 'frame' and 'speaker' and then paint them.

Yeah the proportions are a bit... different.

Maybe I can have a box built that the Camcorder can fit it. It's just needs a cool "home" to sit in when not being used. The "box" would be in the proper proportions? I don't know. It was an idea. Probably way too much work involved.
