how much to build an iron man suit?

hi guys,
im new to the forum but i have been following it for a few months now. i have always tried to build my own stuff for halloween etc and this year i have caught the iron man bug, especially after seeing what guys have been doing with plastic and rivet method of building especially quakevirus and fetts tutorial and im thinking of following this route but im wondering what an estimated cost would be? i have found plastic sheets here in the uk, but im thinking more about what special paints i might need and of course the helmet, with all the add ons like servo faceplate and lights. so if anyone knows how much a good helmet would cost please let me know, the lights and servos i can prob do myself with some help from those that have been there, and what kind of paints to use, i was thinking rub 'n' buff but whatever is best

first of all, welcome to the forum! here's a rough run down of what i have spent so far. 10 trash cans from the dollar store = $40 ($4 apiece) rivets and rivet backs = roughly $25-30 , pop rivet gun = $15. as far as cost goes for a helmet you have a couple of options, you can buy a helmet here on the forum or ebay for roughly $150( i think). my helmet i pepped, i used the HD markV unfolded my dubean33, if its your first pepakura, i dont suggest that file(its a heck of a pep) there are easier IM helmet peps out there. i think the "sharkmark" pep helmet file is easier from what ive seen. cost to pep, resin and bondo your own helmet is cardstock 150 sheets 110lb weight $6 at walmart(youll only need about 14 pages for a helmet). fiberglass resin = $11, bondo $5. oh yeah paint! i used cheapo spray cans i think i ended up using 2 red 1 matte black(it helped tone down the red and make some battle damage effects)and 1 silver so far, they were $2 apiece. any other questions feel free to PM me. i hope this helps a lil i know im forgetting a couple things..
