How do you keep the vader armor from choking you?

I only have the rubies armor right now so I am hoping fiberglass will be heavy enough to stay in place, but what can I do to prevent the armor from choking me? Mainly when I put the cape and helmet on. I don't want any method to be visible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How heavy is your cape? Is that dragging the armor to dig not your throat?

It's a twill cape but it is pretty heavy. I suppose a cape hook would help but even then it digs into my neck when I put the helmet on. Its really annoying.

You can epoxy some Velcro to the inside front of the shoulder/chest armor and then stitch in the Velcro hook portion in the matching area on the under suit. Make sure it is heavy duty Velcro.

Heavy fiberglass armor and heavy capes push straight down on your shoulders and not toward your back.

FG armor and a heavy cape is your answer.
