Homelite XL build [Evil Dead]

Hi all! New here to this forum, found it by poking around trying to find what chainsaw was used in Evil Dead and landed me here.
So I've bought my Homelite XL chainsaw and could use a hand in getting any and all tips for this build as well as a parts list, most posts I saw just posted the build but never what was used, so thats my quandary, the parts!
I've already disasembled the body and pulled out the motor and now I have no idea where to go from here. I have little tools, but can easily obtain them hopefully without breaking my bank more.
Any help is appreciated thanks! I'll also post updated pictures as the project comes along.

use the search function, it will be your best source for info. you will find lots of info about the evil dead chainsaw.

I did actually! Thats kinda what prompted the post. I found dozens of threads with nothing but pictures. Not really any insight to the parts used/bought or really how to fit the motor back in, things of that nature.

I've built several of both versions and have documented all of what I did. Once I get to my PC at home I'll try and post some pics of how I did mine, and share what I learned along the way. I have molded all the parts (as well as the "heat sink" on the side) and am in the process of molding an entire saw because I'm tired of buying perfectly good chainsaws and tearing them apart. Can't wait to see your work!

Let me know how you get on with moulding the whole thing, I was looking to do the same with my XL as I wanted to do a few versions and being in the UK I had to get it from the USA. I've never molded anything before so have no idea how to go about it lol
