Holy Grail - Indiana Jones

Hi all haven't been on for a while, but I'm back now, not sure if this is the right plasce to ask but I'm gonna have ago at making my own grail from indiana jones and the last crusade but I'm not sure on the measurements of the trial so if anyone has any idea or know the size it would be a great help

In the film it looks like it's about one and half to two as high as Harrison Ford's hand, so I would guess that makes something like 150mm to 180mm.

thanks for the reply mate i was thinking something close to them measurements, i'll have a play with the clay with a couple of different sizes and see how they come out!

i just got my grail finished. my finished measurements are 6 1\4" tall and 5 1\2" wide.

Thanks usmc6132 yours is looking good well done ill post some pics as i go along, should start doing it today just got to double check i have everything i need cause knowing my luck I'm short on something lol i got the clay so they will take a while to dry and harden so here go's. wish me luck lol

Multiiple grails were made for the film, they were hand thrown so the size is not 100% consistant among them.

i used some non conventional materials for mine. i made my base from a short candle stick and a ceramic bowl. i wrapped the candle stick with cardboard and then filled the seams with apoxie sculpt. the outside is totally covered in sculpey oven bake clay.
