Hobbit Feet - Any interest?

I know a few people would love to have a pair of Hobbit feet, but it doesn't seem to be that high of a demand on the RPF or at least no one has any comments about the topic at this time. Oh well, I tried.

Did WETA offer some tips on this? I guess I missed it.

Weren't you thinking of giving it a go and molding your own feet? I forgot what happened. Anyway, don't give up even if you go it alone.

"It's a dangerous business going outside your door It'sThatGuy...if you don't keep your feet, there's no telling where you might be swept off to..."

I gave up on this a while ago. It most likely will never happen.

WETA did answer me back, but it wouldn't be something they would make without a lot of interest. Completely understandable though.

The real ones would be fairly bada$$ to have, but I think I would cry if I ruined the bottoms by walking on hard ground with them. I made mine from deck shoes and some slip-on sandals with toes that I got from a costume shop.
The paint doesn't photograph the same color, but in normal light, you can barely see where the shoe starts.

Sasha, those are AWESOME!

In order to have WETA make something, they'd unfortunately not look too close to the films' feet. Like Sasha said, you'd beat the CRAP out of those, just walking around a con floor.

The only time the actors had the feet on, was for up close shots and shots they knew would show feet. There were a ton of scenes where the actors had regular shoes on to get around. The latex would just rip too easily. You'd definitely have to make them over a shoe, or just make flesh colored flip flops and hair-up your own feet, which I've done in the past when I used to costume as Pippin!

I wuld be interested, too... Can't believe everyone is getting these stupid costume feet for his/her hobbit costume...

Thread has been off the grit since January... I could still use some help with Hobbit feet, either how to make them myself or where to get good alternatives? Cause it's quite obvious the real deal doesn't exist in merchandise form.
