HL-10 Lifting Body Pressure Suit Replica

I'm thrilled to finally start my first space/pressure suit build! I've always admired the Mercury/Apollo builds that other members have done over the years, but I thought those would be a little more difficult to try for my first costume. After some research I found a suit that looked nice and seemed like a good starting point. The suit that I chose was the one used while flying the lifting bodies, or more specifically the HL-10.

The pressure suit is reminiscent of the Gemini suit, but it doesn't seem as daunting as a project. I started to gather reference materials by use of NASA's image archive, which I've collected here.

I'm still looking for a material for the suit so if there are any suggestions out there I'd love to hear them! I'm also unsure of what hardware I'm going to need, such as the helmet tie down and the neck ring. I can't wait to get suggestions and I'm very excited for my first build!

That's a David Clark A/P22s-2. So the neck disconnect is essentially a Gemini ring and it looks like an HGK-19 helmet.
Here is a link to some helmet pics (about 3/4 ways down the page)
Here is a PDF on the suit
Close to a Gemini (G4C) suit.
For the Cover layer (Outer layer) you could use Nomex (shiny type) or a thin Nylon or Rayon fabric would look close.
