I am the Prop Master from Prey. These are two HERO flintlocks, that were used 95% of the screen time. The other 5% of the time was the stunt rubbers.

I own these and rented them to the Production.

There is one more HERO flintlock that I purchased from oversees that was used to make the stunt rubbers, that one is owned by the Studio. Also, the Studio has the brass plate used for the insert. There were two hand cut.

The two in this listing are the ones you see on camera. In Naru's possession and in Raphael's possession. These were modified by me to allow the action of loading. See pictures. The ramrods were built by me as well. The original Denix version is only a few inches long.

If you've seen Prey, you've seen these two flintlocks on screen. One has a hand engraved "Raphael Adolini 1715" brass plate.(NUMBER 2 IN PHOTOS) Not machined, hand engraved. Because of variations in hand engraving, the other brass plate is a the engraving is printed to match. (NUMBER 1 IN PHOTOS)

Both come with original boxes which do show wear from being used for protection during filming. They will be shipped in the pelican case that was used to keep them safe while on set, insured and sent priority.

Own the flintlocks from the best movie of the Franchise, Prey.

I will supply a COA.

EDIT - There are 2 of these available. Read text in ad for differences. Per RPF classified rules, I am posting separately. I'm not seeing how to edit my above text, but for clarity. $5500.00 per

Great piece. You state the no. 1 was used for the insert shot. I presume you mean the shot where she tosses the gun to the elder and he reads the inscription. If so, I am not able to match them. Are you sure the 3rd one (now at the studio) wasn't used for that shot? Your no.2 doesn't match either.

Here is your no.1 vs the insert shot used in the movie. Mostly the weathering of the name plate is different and the wood grain is different as well.

for it?

Yes that is the shot. We had it slated as a pick up shot, which was halfway through production. Myself and the onset scenic touched it up before the insert. We use a pigmented wax that fades after handling. These flintlocks are as they were during wrap of the reshoots. You can see I also added wax to the fill in the screw head slots for the insert as well.

The flintlocks would go through several aging processes to keep up with worn off aging throughout the film.

The 3rd studio version wasn't used. I had rubbers made of that one and shortly after one of my prop assistants accidentally lost the forward brass furniture, leaving it useless.

Hmm...when I look at the name plate of the one on screen it looks to be placed lower at the grip side and that is even without taking the angle into account. Plus the metal decoration on the grip looks to be cut slightly different. Plus I don't see how the wood grain could change during shoots.

Please look at the spacing between the left screw and where the R starts. Not only this, but the handwriting is different. Sorry...

No need to be sorry. You may ne correct. I had two versions hand engraved. This may be the plate the went to the Studio. I'm looking through 1000's of continuity photos now. I'll update the ad if it's not the plate from the insert.

Well.....

Modified my post and ad to reflect that this is not the insert plate. I had two hand cut and I used the better of the two for the majority of the filming, that is what is listed here. Although, after looking at some wrap photos and talking with one of my assistant prop masters, we likely used the larger of the two plates for the insert.

Flintlocks listed are the two HERO's form the feature.

To those following here is the best image of the plate that the Studio has. The top plate was from a hobbyist I bought the original Denix that I made rubbers from. This plate doesn't match anything at all. The bottom plate could very well be the insert plate. I'll call it as it seems I was off. I've reached out to my prop coordinator in Alberta CA from Prey to see if she has an original image for me to view. I know I was unhappy with one version. Anyway, listing is updated and I have plenty documented info for the pistols for any interested buyer.
