A24's upcoming horror film Hereditary features some really interesting cobbled-together doll props. I figured I'd start a thread on sourcing the parts they were made out of.
They are currently being sold on Etsy as a promotion for the film, in very limited numbers (one or two at a time, once every week, and they go very fast). This one is my favorite of the bunch:
High res version: https://www.etsy.com/listing/595665950/the-biter?show_sold_out_detail=1
Here are all the dolls that have been sold so far: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftsByCharlieG/sold
So far I can tell that the head is made of some kind of ceramic pumpkin candle holder, the torso is obviously a blue thread bobbin, the legs are an upturned hand rake, and the shoulders/arm is an upside-down candlestick holder with a cork inserted into the finger hole. The other arm is some kind of spring with a bell attached. Trying to figure out where the eyes, teeth, and hat(?) are from.
Thank you for any help, especially anything specific like brands and such!
