Help with project

I made a cereal box Spartan Helmet and covered it with spackle. I need help to continue the project, where do I go from here? I'd like to strengthen it and also add details.

u could lay the inside with thing fiberglass... or even the outside and then sand it and add the detail...
good looking cereal box by the way

Is there a certain resin I should use? I tried doing some stuff with fiberglass cloth and some epoxy stuff and it was a disaster.

fiberglassing, from what I understand, involves dipping a cloth into a resin and then putting on your project. Repeat until desired thickness/coverage is reached. Let dry, sand down and detail as needed.
That's the very undetailed overview, heh.
Bondo is typically a mixture of two chemicals that then harden. I haven't done too much with it, but yes I noticed it dries pretty fast and it does become very strong, which is why it's used to patch holes in cars. Someone told me that I may have had too much of the setter in my mix though if it dried as quickly as it did for me. But...yeah, bondo or fiberglass would work well to strengthen your project.
Looks great though!

Thanks for the kudos. I'll look into the fiber glass/resin. I am thinking of doing a detail layer of air drying clay but need the under part hard so I'll probably coat the under part with fiber glass and do some sculpting on the outer shell.
