Hello,
I need some advice. I wasn't sure if I should put this in the prop forum, or costume forum... but here we go.
I made a commpad like the kind you wear on the sleeve of Star Wars Rebel and TIE pilot costumes. I used silicone rubber. It turned out pretty good, except for the painting. I went to my local arts & crafts store and explained what I was working on. I used the paint they recommended. As you can see, it won't last much longer.
Can anyone please recommend a brand or type of paint (or at least a primer) that will stick to silicone rubber? Or, should I give up on trying to paint silicone? I used what I had at the time to make the commpad. Would I have better luck painting urethane rubber?
thanks
