Hello, RPF! I've come asking your guidance on how best to go about painting (or dyeing) Poylurethane boots. More specifically Funtasma brand.

I bought a pair of their white "Storm Trooper" boots as a base for some Power Rangers boots and I'm impressed with the quality. I'm going to leave the particular pair I have unaltered and just make some cuffs to go over them.

But I want to buy another pair and paint or dye them a dark blue to match another costume I'll be working on a little bit down the road since they don't come in blue pre-made.

Does anyone have any experience in adding color to these boots or at least this kind of material? Any help, tips, brainstorming would be appreciated. :)

Hey Snark - Take a look at Meltonian Nu-Life Color Spray. It's made for leather, vinyl and plastic. I used it recently to re-color black leather gloves to green. The color covered nicely, and is quite flexible (doesn't crack when I make a fist.) Just a suggestion....

Great, thanks for the suggestion, Bry! I'll look into that. Do you have a photo of the finished gloves you used it on?
