Hi all, Today I finally got started on the prep work for my very first costume build and decided to take a cast of both feet and calves with Mod Roc. I have managed to cast 3 layers on each foot and more importantly got them off my feet without any damage that is unfixable but I noticed that the delamination around the cuts is not the best.
Admittedly the second foot was much better than the first with taking more time to smooth out the layers so that the plaster covered the pre preg bandages but was wondering if there are any tips or tricks that you could suggest to make future moulding more successful?
As I will be moulding off the inner surface which requires a little work I was considering poly filler (decorators paste) to smooth out the surfaces as it dries to a same hardness as the plaster. What are your thoughts and suggestions on this?
Any advice and comments are as always welcome
Chris
