Help with Iron Man Mark III

Hey guys,

I've got some free time on my hands right now, and I'm very motivated to build an Iron Man Mark III suit from all the amazing work I've seen here. I've got Pepakura Designer downloaded, but I need some tips on choosing the right files.

I see that Dancin_Fool's Mark III are loved here, but I know they don't have everything (Boots, gloves, helmet). I know he recommended Zabana's files and Sharkmark's files.

If there is anyone who has built an Iron Man Mark III suit (Fiberglass method) can you tell me what files worked for you?


ALSO: Can someone tell me what these excess pieces are in Pepakura? They look like braces but I'm not sure what they are there for, can somebody tell me? Do I build them? I included photos.

those extra peices are braces, basically they are there to keep the model shape while you fibreglass/rondo the structure.
once u have done that u can just cut them off cause the shape will hole its self.

that is only if you are making it out of card and then fibreglass...if your using the files for foam build then those peices are not needed

i cant say that i have used the specific files you have but i have just finished building my mark 4 suit wich is very similar in construction to the one you are working on

Hey I'm building a mark 3 and 42 currently... Those extra parts are supports...and yes I'm using fiberglass. I'm using a mixture of dancin fools files and some other mark 3 files I got last year so I've no idea from the top of my head whose they are... Using zabanas hand and foot and bicturc's calf witch it a lot mor detailed and very easy to pep.... Hope it helps!!:thumbsup
